power is always fun... but its more bottle than power. my XT is standard apart from a Kev mod and wheelie in first too easy.... have a propper go. :coolsmiley:

34bhp means you must have a restrictor, you should be able to get it up in first but as for second your going to be ripping the clutch too much so i wouldnt try it.

Best way to practice i found is to get to about 10mph steady throttle then accelerate part throttle. Do this a few times then dip the clutch a bit for a couple of runs, than you can get the throttle position and clutch by messing about.

is it necessary to have all the 50hp of the XTX to wheelie it? I only have 34hp on mine. Only in first gear small "jumps" of the front wheel are possible. In second gear no way to get the front to rise up.

I think that I would need more power (all the 50hp) or is it just my technique?:angry7:

It's all about (final) gearing. I'm hopeless at wheelies but a few years ago I changed the rear sprocket on my 1990 DR650R (45hp-ish) from the std 42 teeth to 47 for off roading (mx practise tracks/hare 'n' hounds). Coming home from work one day I got a bit carried away and just could not keep the front wheel down when pulling away from traffic lights.
Then I got all cocky and was spat off the back!!:bricks: To be fair, I was holding the clutch with only two fingers and they slipped when I gassed it.....:eusa_doh:
