XT speedometer question
 

Hi.
How does the xt speedo work? Is is not a manual cable that measures the wheel speed anymore?

Its electronic with a sensor in the gearbox (I think).

Most, if not all cars/bikes these days have electronic speedo's and rev counters.

wow, so how accurate is it, with comparison to say a gps?

Again, like most cars/bikes they are about 10% optimistic on the speed, but the mileage should be accurate.
