Would anybody know if the 11-1 piston would work on an xtz 660 (1995) Maybe I can help with the numbers, if it works.

The 95 XTZ 660 is a totaly different motor to the new XTZ. If you are looking for a 11:1 for your bike I would have a look on Ebay or the web, there may be a 11:1 piston for your bike.

When standard my bike pinged a little a low RPM's, but now with the 11:1 piston if I use 95 RON it is so bad I know I will damage the piston, must remember I live right on the coast at sea level not like you up at a higher altitude, so my pinging would be worse then yours.

I reckon the Raptor are design to make its HP mid to up top & the XT is made to make it's power low to mid range & that could be the difference in the ignition timing. I would love to try an ignition module on the XT on a Dyno, just to if any more gains could be had.

One important thing I forgot to mention is the pinging is worse with the standard XT cam with the 11:1 piston & hardly pings with the stage 1 Hot Cam with the 11:1 piston using 95 RON fuel. I put this down to the running compression difference between the duration & lobe centre timings of the the 2 cams.

G'day Kenny .
Was wondering how you have been going for numbers. I've done a count up on this thread and so far I see we have Motonacio, Gravityfreak, The Stranger, Driesie and myself signed up for a piston. Only 5, are you having much luck elsewhere, do you think you might be able to get the required 50 ?
Cheers mate
Dan
