Thanks for clearing that up Kenny.

Just one last check. Everything, including ignition timing, intake length and so forth where the same between the gold and red lines, except for the ported head and bigger valves?

Was this done on DL700's dyno. Reason why I am asking is because the numbers are very similar to what I get with an almost similar build.

The raptor I tested had Duals (custom made), rocket Factory Intake, ported head, bigger valves, 11:1 piston, stock bore and stroke, PCIII and Dynatek ignition and X2 cam. We tried a HC3 and it made similar peak HP.

Do you mind PM'ing me more detail on that intake you shortened?

Hi Kenny,

As most of us have stock XT660 motors for which no high comp piston is yet available in stock bore size, I guess the question that is certainly on my mind is what kind of gains one could expect with your head, cam and throttle body mods using the stock piston / bore.

I suppose untill you get your hands on a motor to play with you'll not be able to answer this question right?

You should see pretty much the same percentage gain, your ultimate power will not be quite as much with the reduced compression. It won't be a huge difference because this engine is only 11:1

Kenny is it fair to say 1 compression point increase is worth approx 1.5HP?

Hi Kenny,

I have sent you a PM.

Cheers
