Its an Acerbis fender.
I fitted it on the 4 bolts of the towing eye. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_zfz5EDeksWk/SM...0/100_3507.JPG |
Nice one. Did you have to cut much off the rear of the guard?
I am about to post some mod pics from mine on here. Andy |

Hi Cotthem
Is that the acerbis supermotard front fender you fitted?? Looks good. I like the no cutting idea. If you had of kept the lower mudguard on to would that eliminated the mud in radiator problem?? I am thinking of fitting the fender just to stop the wind. i am mostly tarmac use or light greenlane. |
Yeah I am thinking of running with 2 fenders the standard lower one which I can remove for proper off roading and then a higher one to stop the wind. I was looking at an old mx fender yesterday it fits perfect at the front but will need cutting back at the rear. I may have to loose the towing eye though so the moto fender maybe a better bet.

yes its the supermotard front fender. The lower mudguard eliminates the mud in the radiator and your trousers for sure. Because I often ride off-road around my hous (shortcuts), I don't mind the mud.....anymore. greets Cotthem |
looks good:coolsmiley:
I ordered a fender to do the same but I made a mistake on the ordering and got a silver one instead:YellowWow_KKPB92:. Getting a white one in the new year Stumpy |
Hi Taffy 2.
What make/model of front mudguard is that your using, looks like it fits well. |
It is a RaceTech one I got from a local Moto X dealer. Thats all it said on the packaging or at least the sticker that came inside the plain polythene bag covering the fender. I think they come out at about 14.99 but I know the guy and got mine for 10:smilies0948:
Going to get another one and have another go at a slightly different extender shape. For a tenner I can afford to try two versions to see what fits best. Andy |
