location Osco oiler on the bike
 

Has anyone already discovered the best location for the Osco oiler on the Tenere?

I've been thinking of the frame tube under the passengers seat. But I am afraid that I can not easily pull the handle while driving. I haven't discovered a better alternative yet. So I am open to a good idea.

For the guys who do not know this handy tool, it is a big help in lubricating your chain. The reservoir with oil has a handle that you pull just before stopping at your house. The reservoir slowly releases a couple of cc oil which is just enough to lubricate.

I've a ScottOiler located in the place you mention, works very well (9600 miles and still the chain is like new), not sure if you know about these but they work on a vacum and release a drop of oil every 30 seconds or so throughout your ride.

Thanks for your offer to make pictures, but it won't help me. The issue is that you have to be able to reach for the reservoir while (slowly) driving the last metres to your home. The location under the passengerseat looks good, but I wonder if I can safely pull the handle.

I do know the Scott. Same purpose, but a different solution. The Osco is not automatic (you've to pull the handle yourself) and is not connected to anything of your bike. It's really a simple solution and therefore I have choosen this one.

I have a Loobman chain oiler, cheap and simple a quick squeeze before a ride and all the hard work is done, it runs on any ytpe of oil. cost �18 Uk delivered so not bad for 10k plus extra chain life.

I mounted mine on the frame near the right hand passanger footpeg so its away from the exhaust.
