As a quick question you say you set the spokes to 3nm. Can I ask how you do this as I just do it by feel when I check them on my sons WR250, and have never checked them on the XT, other than the screw driver ring check. :102::icon_scratch: |
I built the wheels by my self, set rims on right position and tighten spokes aproximetly. Than I took my wheels to nearest bicycle shop/service and they centered rims and tighten spokes as they should be. I read 3nm in Yamaha XT 660 service manual and I told this information to bicycle man. I dont know how he has done it, I guess they have some kind of tool for that.
