Hello, new to this forum so first some introduction. My name is Patrick and I come from Holland. Last week I took a testride on a Tenere and I loved it so much that I ordered one. Since the original sound of the exhaust is a bit lame I ordered the GPR titanium. I will post a picture and soundfile once I get my bike.

Hi Patrick, and good to have you onboard! I'm trying to see if I can get a GPR system in the UK, the only dealer I can find is "Pole Position" in London. Can you tell me how much you have paid for your exhaust, as I'm hoping these are a bit cheaper than Akrapovics etc? :hello:

Hi patrick welcome to the forum, hoping its what your looking for.

Great amounts of information on the tenere for you.

Piccies are a must when you get the bike and the exhausts:sunny:

Welcome mate, nice choice of bike.

XTZ-Patrick 03-10-08 12:00

Thank for the warm welcome.........

The cans are 856euro for the Titanium version without the cat. A lot of money but compared to the Akra a bargain since they are about 1100euro.

Welcome Patrick. It would be greatif you can or whoever is installing the pipes weigh both exhausts so we know how much weight saving there is. Right now there is just no reliable info on this, so you would do us a huge favor. Many thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome Patrick!

About the cans:

http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=7299

OTR have had them for a while and shipping isn't that expensive so you UK peeps can get them there. Titanium without cat 849€ + shipping, if you plan to go serious offroading take the steel without cat version for 699€ since titanium exhausts have a tendency to crack with too much bump and grind.

well. Italian is not my strong part, but the GPR system (according to google translate...) -

"are made of titanium with back in ergal, weighing just 6 kg, and provide a savings of about 10 kg compared to the original".

Nah, that isn't correct. When I put the original exhaust on the scale its weight was 5.75kg so you won't save much with the GPR's. I saved 4kg with my single slipon.

Molgan good point about the Ti vs S/S i never thought about the cracking plus it saves money which is always nice.

Hi Molgan, I gather that you've got the OTR's single can. Am curious in your opinion of that new can. Do you feel it gives you more ps and torque as it claims to be? Any downside? Oh, does it fit with your stock yamaha panniers and pannier holder without any modifications (I think you have the stock panniers, right?)? Am considering the same setup too. Many thanks.

Nope, I have a home made system:

Been a bit busy at work so I haven't done much to the bike lately, but when I get the filters and db-killers mounted I will let you know how it worked out.

Thanks. It looks sweet. Keep us posted on how it goes. The alu plate on the back also looks professional.

finaly the exhausts have arrived so I could pick up the bike from the dealer today. I must say the sound of the GPR systeem is very nice.

Sounds and looks great Patrick. Curious, do you know if it fits the stock Yamaha panniers and the racks?
