TKC80 tyres?
how is the side-to-side stability on mud ald leaves on the trail? looking for 50/50 tyres... i hear they buzz on the streets at some speed? some say they are terrible on tarmac, others say they scrape the footpegs (and i've seen a pic of that :-p ) btw, love the front mudguard too!! (i also have the white one) what brand is it? and another question :-p i have the same handguards, are they touching the screen on full turnout of the handlebar? mine are, unless i turn them upwards until the brake levers come out under them... |

maybe I ll give a try at anakee wild but after my friends told me that the wear is maybe worst than the contis,I ll think about it twice before I change them. On tarmac the behave almost as a road tyre.full lean and no worries exept from the rubber feeling because off the tyre design.I keep the cruising speed below 130km/h for better life span. also,no vibrations. The buzz now,I dont know.may be they do,but i dont care.I ve never thought of it before your post.If it was something very annoying then I would have noticed it. My previous rear tyre done almost 11.000 km with 1-2 mm remaining at the center. On muddy roads, they behave good considering and the bike weight. Also on leaves and grass needs some attention, but they ll get you through. For me it s the perfect tyre for my bike and my riding style. the fender is the polisport exura.fits the look of the bike fine, and no mods needed to fit it. tha handguards, yes, they were touching the windshield but with some adjustment together with the levers the dont now.My levers are a bit low, because of the frequent standing riding position for off road. But they are the best looking.Bark busters also looking great. |

nice looking Ten.
Can you give me some info about the gpr exhausts? for example, did you fit them by your self? was it easy? do they need any modifications or tips to fit? Hou about their quality? and most important,do they fit right on the bike?I mean straight and balanced to each other and the tail when looking from behind. also in off road use are they steady and hold right in their place,or they make any noises and unwanted movement ? hope you understand what i mean. thnx in advance! |

Yep, I did fit them myself Yep, fitting did need modding because the Yamaha pannier rails (original equipment - top photo) were too close to the exhausts so I had to create spacers to push the pannier rails outwards by 10mm to allow the panniers to drop on to their upper rails. But this is not relevant if you don't have Yamaha panniers. Also, you have to make a plate to fill in the gap, under the seat, left by the removal of the original exhaust or you will expose all the relays, fuse box and the ECU to dirt and water sprayed directly up from the back wheel. This will probably be the case for any non-standard exhaust fitting not just GPR. Quality is awesome. All the fittings fit perfectly, (apart from the above), and are well made. Mine have been on 2 years now and still only need soap and water to bring them back to new. I ride off road and the exhausts do not move or rattle. They fit perfectly and are very light. They come with 2 decibel killers for each exhaust. You can use all, one, or none of them. Would I buy them again for a different / new bike ?...Yes. |
thnx!
you were really helpfull. I ll propably get my ten a pair of gpr soon. and one last question.. did you notice any difference at the bike's performance? on low,med and high rpms? |

thnx again.
I found them in Greece for 490. for me the total weight loss from the upper and rear part of the bike is the most important, and afcourse the looks and the bling. I m also thinking of changing the rear sprocket, and I have already the dna filter fitted. so I m only missing the funds at the moment to get them :icon_neutral: |

Took a short ride through the Hemel & Aarde valley (Heavan & Earth)
Close to home, but got the most relaxed experience when the wind softly blew through the needles of the pines, what a wonderful moment indeed https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4609/...bb13772d_b.jpg |
The bike, the road, the scenery. .....perfect! ! Steve
