Thank you Regie.

I installed one myself last w-e and you inspired me.
:notworthy[1]:

My only modification is the following:
I wired a relay triggered by the reg plate lights which feeds a 4 way fusebox.

This way I can add 2 more mods by just plugging them to the fusebox.

And not only the fusebox is only powered when the ignition is on, but the relay and each accessory has its own fuse.

Pictures:

The front switch and DIN socket (I use silicon to waterproof the cable connection (the white stuff))

I used:

halfords 4 ways fusebox: here
halfords DIN plug and socket 16amp: here
halfords round rocker switch 10amp: here

lots of cables, connectors, cable ties too :)

Blimey Zou, have you got a spy cam at my place? That's exactly what I have done!!!!! I have taken out the next to useless toolkit and you will find that if you cut off the mounting lugs on the fuse box it fits neatly into the old toolkit space. Spot on mate, very durable, cheap and repairable.:icon_mrgreen:

Nice work there Zou, just don't let customs look under your seat as you venture into another country, they may think you have a bomb in there :laughing11:

It's alot of fun tinkering hey!!

cheers reg.

They are some great pictures there Molgan. As we might be able to ride all year round here in OZ.... well have a look at that!! so you can also!! even though it maybe a road you've been down many times before, the snow would give it a different perspective, no doubt.

P.S. The female natives are a bit easy on the eye....... :tongue3:

cheers
Reg.

It's taken a while for me to get round to this but here you are - my Tnr with the mods so far:

http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...ed_1pignan.jpg

It now has Metal Mule links and a reshaped seat courtesy of Sellerie Concept here in France. They've got the lines and colours spot-on with the bike.

http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...sized_seat.jpg

It also has a UFO front mudguard, Renthals and Acerbis brushguards, TKC80s, Touratech rack, bashplate and GPS mount (for my eTrex). I've taken the exhaust covers off as I don't like the look of them - planning to make some round equivalents at some point. I thought about MT-O3 covers but my local dealer told me they are extremely expensive! So another job for the Dremel. Another pic:

I'm planning a trip to Morocco at some point but not sure when. Also a weekend on trails in the Camargue with another forum member. The local (French) bike mag is Moto Verte and there are some good ideas for trails so plan to have a go at some of those too.

If any forum members are ever heading to Sete (45 mins from my front door) for the ferry to Morocco feel free to PM me in advance and I can recommend local dealers for tyre changes or mechanical help if needed. I work away from home but if I'm around there's always the chance of a spare room (if we move the baby...) and some local red before you hit Africa.

Cheers,

Rich

the seat looks great !
I had a look at their website but they don't mention gel insert....

pity, that's what i would be looking for.

I'll make sure I arrange to meet you during one of me trip south I have relatives in the area (and I'm french too :p )

Richzrx12 08-02-10 20:21

Zou - no problem at all!

As for the seat, they have a great reputation and I'm sure they can do whatever it is you want. They do like punters to turn up with the bike and sit on it though, so that they can see how you are on the bike, and then cut it and let you try it before they start making the cover. They also like to see the bike and its colours in the flesh so they can get that right too.
