Adjusting Spokes

Had a quick gander using the search but came up with nowt.

How easy/hard is it to tighten the spokes on our bikes? I noticed a couple were bent and some weren't 'twanging' when I gave them a tap with the spanner.

Might get this one here for 10 if it's something I can do meself ;)

Try Devon Rim Company or wheel rebuilding in the google bar for lots more.

Some say spoke tightening should not be done by joe bloggs (ie you and me) but should be done by a trained mechanic as if you tighten one too much it pulls the other one opposite too tight etc etc. Then you end up with wonkey wheels.

But for 10E it would do until you can take it too a mechanic/next service

Best left to the Xperts.

This should help, once you get an understanding you'll realize it's not as bad as you might think.
