I see, that's why I always jam a rag down the motor before removing anything.

Are you going to run your bike on the Dyno? I would be interested to see the the HP & Torque gains with the OTR cam.

stan 28-06-08 22:14

I will, just have to find the time, the one wee have is broken(old crap).
But what do i do with the lamda? Do i live it inn or disconect it or what?

Kev 29-06-08 02:30

Freez & my 07 fuel maps in the map section are set using a O2 ELIMINATOR with the O2 sensor removed, so if your going to use one of those maps remove the sensor for now.

I have built the second generation O2 Eliminator which is now called a O2 Simulator, that can supply the ECU with a 0 Volt to 1 Volt adjustable signal, instead of a resistance like the old O2 eliminator.

This simulator can fix a voltage signal to the ECU to trick it into thinking the bike is running lean or rich when in the closed loop Lambda reading, by adjusting a knob on the mod. Once we have the fuel mixture set in the closed loop of the ECU we can then set the fueling in the open loop using a PCIII or my fuel mod.

I have it installed on my bike & waiting on my leg to heal so I can do some further testing on the dyno. I need to see what happens when the ECU goes into a closed loop & I adjust the mod, I need to measure the amp draw so I know I have the electronics right in the mod. Then see if it will actually work, I should be able to ride in 5 weeks time before I can test it properly.

I got the bike together in one peace yeasterday, i must say that it's mutch quicker to pull up to the rev limit now and it runs a little faster inn top speed,183kph.

I tryed plugging the O2 sensor out but then the engine lamp started to glow, and fail code 24.

And another thing, what walve clarenc do you gays use,i tryed the standard and it is klikking like hell...

Run the cam in for 200 miles then reset the clearance to a loose, inlet 0.10mm & exhaust to 0.16mm. A high lift cam is noisy you will get uesd to it.

Hey Stan

Does it feel like the cam is making more power or has it just shifted the power to a different point in the rev range? Any loss in bottom end or torque?
Are you still planning on running it on a dyno sometime soon?

Cheers

stan 08-07-08 21:22

It feels like the the same power in the buttom and middle range. It's only on topp I feel the diffrence,it doesn't stop pulling until the revlimiter.
Before it stopt pulling about 1000rpm before the revlimiter...

Maybe it's because i'm using kev's bigbore map on the pc3,i dont know...
I'm thinking about boring the sylinder up to 104m(714cc) and poring the top and maybe another exhaust in the winter time, maybe I will run it on a dyno then, for now the bike runs good and i am pleest with the handlig of the bike(no surging).Dyno time is so eccpensive here i norway...

Kev 08-07-08 23:25

I must admit, that with the stage 1 cam the suring is alot less then with the standard cam. I think it may be because you don't have as much low down torque with the stage 1 cam.

brunobarcia 08-07-08 23:47

Thats right my bike with the stg1 and kevs big bore map the surging disappeared...:HeyHey_GOO2MN:
