Oil cooler?

Kev 02-06-08 11:51

Close.

Tony660x 02-06-08 11:55

Fuel cooler? Clip it inline? I am not really sure but it looks a nice piece of engineering.

meach 02-06-08 12:22

I presume it is some sort of cooler then. But it looks like it is turned rather than formed with "convalutes", so therefore it is just a single bore up the centre so will it actually cool???????
I may be wrong????

Kev 02-06-08 12:28

Sure is a cooler for a XT700 with high compression piston. A 16mm hole all the way through.

I wonder where I should fit it.:gayfight:

Tony660x 02-06-08 13:11

Does it fit over the air breather hose to help cool it? I have attached one of your pictures to show.

motonacio 02-06-08 13:46

It might go between the crankcase and the airbox.

Your right Freez. :026:

A water cooler to lower the water temp after moding the motor to a bigger bore & high compression. Fittment photos to come this weekend.

Kev 08-06-08 03:45

Fitted a home made axillary water cooler today, it works a treat with my 700 Raptor conversion.

Very nice, and really blingy in a Mad Max sort of way!! :WellDone_OROQR1: :WellDone_OROQR1:

Freez 08-06-08 08:31

Kev, have you been able to measure the difference in temperature before and after the cooler?

Kev 08-06-08 12:09

I will check the temp difference between before & after, just need to get the temp heat gun from work.

bebbs 08-06-08 12:45

does look nice on the bike even if it does not make any difference,I would not mind one of those just for the looks alone
