engine paint warranty

I know this has been posted before but, with 2 months left on the warranty i want to have the engine paint sorted,i have had the bikes wiring loom and clocks changed due to engine immobiliser playing up ,and they know i use it offroad ,so they might say that it is down to that and it wont be covered under warranty ,but it is a known fact that the xt suffers badly with paint flaking off and i know that there are a few who have had it done ,so any help or suggestions gratefully accepted

Remove all plastics, tank & clean the bike so it looks like new, finish it off with silicone spray.

Then go & ask for warranty.

Sneeky sneeky kev. I would like to here what you get from this as im going to try and get my engine covers replaced or repainted under warrenty in a couple of weeks time once my exams/uni work is all over (about 2 months warrenty left aswell). Ive also need to see if they will replace or recoat my wheel rims and spokes as they have corroded quite badly with a few realy bad patchs but they have a free scratchs and marks from stones etc possibly to do with off roading not too sure so they will probably complain about that.

All so i might see if they can find out why my engine keeps revving sometimes even though i have not throttle on and have the clutch in with it in gear. I sort of found out the other day that its either the clutch or changing it to netural that stops the revving.
