DNA stage 3 and rain
 

Hi all
The previous owner of my XT660Z fitted a DNA stage 3. I just wonder how that works in rain og humid conditions? It look pretty exposed since there no cover of any kind. I've spoken to 2 different mechanics, who both recommended to cover up the air filter to prevent rain from getting in. Is it necessary, or is it rain-proof if its oiled?
