Hello from Down Under

Hello all,I am new to this group so if I am posting in the wrong thread please let me know.

I have always road trail/enduro bikes since i was 7 years old and now am 45 years old,I used to ride XR 600 and XR 650 but now my 15 year old daughter is wanting to hop on the back of my bike I need something that can legally take a passenger on the back.I am wanting to get an XT660R as this will do the job nicely in my opinion.

My daughter has also been riding since she was 8 years old but the main reason for the XT660r would to save on fuel by dropping her off at her part time job and picking her up as well as me still having a great fun ride for the bush and getting to hard to reach fishing spots.

I am looking at a XT660r 2007 model with 27,000 ks on the clock and the seller said the engine has not been touched. My question is after how many ks of mainly highway riding would the engine need a rebuild?

Welcome to the forum! My friend has an XT with over a hundred thousand MILES on the engine. ...just very regular oil changes and TLC! Steve
