XT660X fork tube length

Hi,
I want to buy new fork tubes, but Im confused regarding their length..
I have an 05 model X, and the internet says either 675mm or 642mm..

so what is correct? and is the suspension and fork tube exactly the same on a 04 model? could i swap the tube from an 04 fork to my 05?

According to ABE engineering same for all years length is 680mm dia 43mm.

Well, that can't be right... 07 is definitely different from 04.

Have a look on fowlers website, fork tube # 1D2-F3110-00 for 05 & 07
