Hahahah.... yes the 'Tenere walk'

Standing on the pegs is fine, and works, but not so if you are in a field!

So, here's another method, I'll do my best to describe it right...

Face the left side of the bike,
You put your right leg on the seat (in a sort of goose step fashion)
hop on your left moving towards the bike....
Slide your right leg down to the peg, and your there.

Or,
before swinging your leg over the bike, bend your leg so your boots are up in the air, it's how I get on/off a bloodbike without marking the panniers.

However you do it... it always looks a bit comical :angel9:

I sort of reverse the process to dismount after putting the bike on the sidestand.
Put left boot flat and hold the left hand bar then hop back a couple of steps, slip my finger into my right trouser bottom and lift to clear the seat.
Problem arises when you park a tad too close to something on your left and there's no room get off that way.
Then you look a tit when you struggle back on and paddle the bike back and forth to the right make a bit of room to try again, failing that you hit the starter and ride somewhere with a smaller audience and more room.

I'll try that method!
Haven't had to mount up with an audience...but it'll happen😊
