end can length

hi all,

i'm looking to fit a universal end can to my XTZ (akra looks from aliexpress, 47cm or 57cm).
i want to know how long is the longest end can you have mounted?
just the length of the can (the thick part), not the connecting tube to the header.
i like the 2 silencer setup but they're too heavy and harder to fabricate a splitting tube from 1-2 so it's going to be a 1 can setup and a toolbox on the other side then.
i want it as long as possible ,to get a deep sound and not annoyingly loud.
my previous bike, a honda fmx 650, had 2 end cans from Arrow and they sounded AWSOME, loud bangs when heavy on the throttle, and very distiguished when just rolling, perfect.
the Dominator and MTC can are too loud from what i heard on sound clips.

thanks guys

I run an mtc link pipe with a 16" can, fitted with a universal baffle, but I'm just finishing off an akrapovic can which i needed a sleeve. That can is 14" as I had to shorten it to avoid contact with the panniers rear upper mounting bar.

Are you planning on using your original exhausts link pipe.

i don't want to cut up my original pipe, so i'll have to fabricate a link pipe. but if i go for the 57cm long one, there's no more then about 8cm of link pipe needed to make...

how does it sound with the 16 inch or 14 inch pipe without db killer? not too loud?

The 16" can is very loud without the reducer. I haven't fitted the shorter akrapovic can yet.

51mm.
The picture of the akrapovic can shows a 51-60mm reducer as it was previously on an Sp1. I have the other matching akrapovic can here unshorted which a reducer I'm probably going to sell as I don't think I'll run a twin can setup.

could you post a sound clip/ vid of the ten running with and without db-killer?

I'll see if I can get it sorted next weekend when I'm home.

Only got around to dry fitting the akrapovic can today.
Will get some assembly paste soon and try sorting a video.
