For the fairing, if you don't want to make your own, there is this option: https://www.off-the-road.de/en/About...0-Z-Evolution/

Great build report. I had to rebuild my bike as well. It had been written off after an accident when i bought it. The mods done to yours are on my list of things to do, but as i had to get it certified to get it on the road, i put everything back to standard.

You mentioned getting certification of conformity from Yamaha, did this include the fork upgrade? How did you acheive this?

One of the great looking and more functional Tenere's, indeed seen it on the TET-group. Good job! Those grease nipples on the rear suspension are a good idea, but if you do that, then keep in mind that the grease seals should be turnded around, since the original direction will not let the old grease flow out while pumping in new grease. Just a detail to think over...

Been away with work a lot, and while I was away my DVLA registration finally came through. I've now got a UK registration plate!

The bad news is that I am away for work again for a couple of weekends so no chance of riding the beast for a fortnight which is very frustrating. Sooooon.

Oil change time. I read a few "how to" guides and saw how oil can spew everywhere when the frame oil plug is removed. One recommended the approach that I used here - a plastic bottle with two holes cut in it to allow the plug to be unscrewed and the oil to drain in a sensible manner.

The oil was pretty manky and well due a change.

The filter was also rather well used.

The oil change didn't take long - I could do it in half an hour now I know what I'm doing.

I see your light bar in the same place as mine. I found that i get shadow in front of it with the high mudgaurd. I'm going to look at lowering the front of the gaurd to try and reduce the shadow.

How has it effected yours? The fork conversion looks good.

Mine were smashed when I got my bike.... but then it had been riden into the side of a truck, so I guess that doesn't really count.

Is there any more wind or mud/water coming up through the gap without the side panels on it?

Where do U put aircomp.?

It's tucked behind and under the tank where the snorkel usually hides. There's a pic somewhere earlier in the thread.
