new xt660x owner

Hi
Just saying hello have bought myself a xtx for commuting and some grin factor!
Have owned a few ktm's in past supermoto/enduro and fancied the xt after reading the forum seemed a good choice. Bought it cheap with high miles 43k anything i should look out for at this mileage? Has full dealer history to 38k. Don't mind getting the tools out and getting dirty. will be looking at some mods in winter months. It has aftermarket pipes fitted and will be looking at kev's modding page when i get 5!
Will be using this bike through the winter to commute its only 12 miles so not too bad just need some tyres to keep me safe.
Seem like a great bunch of people with some good knowledge about these bikes so expect me to be picking your brains soon.
P.S
how do i change settings to allow external links like photo bucket? Missing out on all the pics of your bikes:)
Cheers

Welcome to the forum! Steve I'm afraid Photobucket is holding everyone to ransom to the tune of $399......which is why so many photos are missing.

Welcome :occasion14:

Regarding mods, I went for PCV, Kevs O2 optimiser, DNA stage 1 and 2 and GPR exhausts and it made a good difference to the bike!

The DNA stage 1 and 2 seemed to totally changed the sound even on the standard cans so would recommend those.
I had already ordered the PCV before discovering Kev did a cheaper alternative, so probably worth checking that out.

I'm also going to need new tires soon enough and want to do the cush drive mod as im pretty sure mines worn.
