Photos needed for cutting plastic on XTX for Tail Tidy does anyone have any they can post so i know where to cut the plastic?

cant find my photos BUT when you take the tail piece off you will see the bracing rail between the two rear frame rails...i used a wood saw to cut across that line ..

I did it today but the problem i have now is i have fitted an after market tail/break light and only the break light seem to work do you know what i should do?

depends on the colours of the wires from your rear light setup...have you checked you have not blown a fuse trying to match them up?..

I noticed that as well when I connected the after market led tail light. When I connected the cables wrong the brake light was always on. I switched around the cables until I got them right.

Now the tail light works but now break light?
 

Hi i've fitted a tail tidy to my 2010 xtx today everything went ok apart from the fact that the tail light break light don't seem to be working i know it does work because when i was fitting it the first time round only the break light would work and nothing else well i swapped the wires round now the tail light is working but not the break light can you help with any advice please .

have you checked the fuses yet?...connecting them up wrong blows the 10 amp fuse..

Sorted now cut it yesterday cheers

But still have a problem with with my break light won't work but my tail light will?

im not sure which type of xt were talking about tbh...im not sure if the fuses across the range are located in the same place...on my R theres a block of fuses under the seat area with a seperate fuse in a white housing..
