Xt660z filters

Hi all,

Just sold my XTX and bought an XTZ. I've been reading about the DNA filters as I had stage 1+2 on my X and it made a huge difference. My bike is a 62 plate and has a single MTC pipe and rides ok but I'd like a little more oooomph. I'm clear on the original filter being replaced and the one which goes on the side of the air box but can someone shed some light on the one which seems to go on top of the stage 1 filter?

Also anymore suggestions welcome.

Cheers,

Tom

Don't forget your KevMod or PCV

Cheers GULG, i had a Kev mod on my xtx but I thought that was just to correct the snatchy behaviour at low throttle. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The DNA setup allows more air into the motor, you need to compensate with some more fuel or you'll run too lean (and that's bad).

KevMod will put more fuel in in a low cost simple way, a PC-v will adjust the fueling over a wider range, much higher cost.

The KevMod O2 Tuner makes a difference at lower revs too. But not essential to running the DNA filters
