Tuning the XTX: the results are in

Well, yesterday the XTX was tuned on the dynojet using the PC 3.

Here are the results (compare base & final run). Click link below.

The setup was:

Leo X3
K&N stage 1
DNA stage 2
Snorkel removed

Some very decent gains over a broad area of the band ending up at 51 bhp and 65nm. Im quite pleased with that. maybe in the future ill go crazy with lighter pistons and a racing crank or something. maybe change the headers. but for now, im pleased.

Now, if she would stop pissing coolant as well, that'd be smashing:rant2:

Good result! :023:

Very similar to my Z which made 51.28hp and 49.97 ft-lbs (67.75 Nm) with similar mods (made 43.5hp in stock trim).

Just goes to show that horsepower in the early fifties is easily attainable on the XT motor with a little extra air and fuel... and it makes them a damn sight nicer to ride too without the standard emissions-compromised fuelling.

Very true. It was running criminally lean. Factory settings are almost damaging for the bike. :BangHead:

But no more surging, extra power smoother pickup

Yes cos factory setting had to ensure emissions compliance, which is why we always had that dangerous partial throttle hiccup. And why she will not get thro EURO4 sob....
