       Tenere S M wheels...

One of the reasons given for not having a set of Supermoto rims on the Tenere is the 17 inch front wheel changes the rake and geometry of the bike. I was talking to a guy today with a CCM 450.. his bike came with a set of Supermoto rims. It just made me wonder why if CCM see no problem with running 17 inch rims on such a tall Adventure bike why would it affect the Tenere. ..? Steve

Where there's a will there's a way. One nice way to get the Sunday paper,

@greatescape: On the old tn's we are using a fork-stabilisator when we mount the 17" rims - but only 'cause the frontbrakes run on one disc. With the 660 Tn i think it shouldn't be necessary because both sides/forks are getting the same reaction from the brakes (if good/more progressive frontsprings are mounted). cheers, Andy |

Ive done this, it puts too much weight on the front and it tucks when pushing hard on the twistys. I think lowering the rear say 30-40mm will help. But i Never pursued it. I think the best plan would be too lace a 19 onto the front and run a 120 x 19 tyre and an X rear wheel. Then go show the superbike boys how its done ;-)
