6000 miles later
 

Happy days, post man dropped off my new Mefo MFE99 Explorer today. Very similar pattern to the Mitas EO7 and Heidenau K60. I could probably squeeze another 1000 miles out of it and I obviously don't corner enough. But tyres is the only bit between you and the hard stuff, so I don't believe in penny pinching here. I have been more than happy with my Mefo's and will not swap for any other. It's done long distance touring with a loaded bike as well as gravel and dirt, and its a good compromise for me.
