Very much depends on the design and construction of the battery but simplistically, yes most batteries of a physical size to fit in the battery compartment should charge adequately from the XTs system. (Reserve judgement on lithium)
That being said, there aren't many deep cycle batteries that would fit and also provide the cranking capacity required from the XT... So basically no but more detailed information required...

have found some info on ADV rider as well... A bikes charging
system will charge a deep cycle battery to 85/90% wired
in parallel with the XTs starting battery...
