Aftermarket exhaust and dirt under the seat

What have you done to stop the dirt getting from the tire to under the seat. Because OEM exhaust covers the whole area under the tail but aftermarket ones don't. So the dirt with water goes through the unsealed holes under the tail.

I used silicone at the moment and it works great. Got one spot more to do after todays test run.

This is how it looked before:

Cleaned with air and hand. Alot dirt under the wiring.

This is the area it came from:

and under the tail:

:023: That's pretty much what I did.

I used Sikaflex black weather-proof sealant though. I think you might find that the generic clear bathroom stuff (if that's what you used) is going to peel off after a while?

Yeah, should be that one. It peels off pretty easy. Must find better one someday.

The only stuff I had in the garage was expanding foam. It's still there 3 years and 55,000 miles later.

Ive just cut a peice of rubber to size and installed it under the bolts. Neat tidy and reversable.

Explain how/where the gaffer tape was used can you? To be honest I haven't looked to closely under there yet as the single can is still pretty new...
Cheers
