How to see RPM on XT660X 2009 [[HELP]]
 

Hello,

I have a XT660X 2009, it has akrapovic exhaust, K&N Air filter and a Power Comander III installed.

I want to increase the RPMs of the bike, but I can't see on the dash. I do all the steps until I see the "0" on the dash, but when I turn on the bike, the dash come out of the diag mode.

I read that some people has the same problem as me, so... are there differents steps on the 2009 XT???

First let's just double check you are doing it right... Read this.

Switch off Engine Run switch, switch OFF Key switch.

1/ Press both SELECT & RESET buttons and then switch ON Key switch, keep SELECT & RESET buttons pressed for at least 8 seconds. Display then changes to "DIAG". Release SELECT & RESET buttons.

2/ Press the SELECT button once until CO displays, press SELECT & RESET buttons again & hold, CO1 should display.

3/ Once selected CO1, switch on the kill switch & crank the motor.


I do all the steps correctly, but when I cranck the motor, the DASH become normal.

Is there any difference to see revs between 2004 and 2007 XT660?

I solved my problem.

The problem was the battery, when I start the motorcycle It goes down to 8,5V, so I put a new one and now I can see the RPM.
