Yamaha OE pannier rails
Hi Guys ,
New to the site , so don't know if this is the right place to post this . . . Anyway , just a quick question , I want to replace the standard pipes with an aftermarket two pipe system , I'll not be needing panniers for 70% of my riding , but would like to keep the OE Yamaha luggage rails for travelling . . . . ( standard Yamaha rails and boxes came with the bike , so may as well use them ) In a nut shell . . are there pipes that don't require the removal of the rails , MTC ( round / oval ) , GPR , Arrow etc ?? Also want to fit a rear rack . . . any recommendations ? Thanks in advance Michael |

I ordered the quick release panniers holders from sw-motech and will see when they get here if I need the same mods (spacers to the panniers rack) because I have a single mivv exhaust on the right side and it's not under the seat... Sent from my phone! |
Thanks for your help Guys ,
Great video of fitting GPR pipes Pepsi . . . . cheers . On reflection , and seeing Jacque le Rouxs' pics , I think the single Exan will be on the shopping list , though I 'll be sure to make something up for the OE panniers . . . cheers , Michael |
OE panniers and rails work fine with my oval Exan can.

What about the distance to the lower mounting points. Are they still in the original place or did you move them as well ? |
I have managed to add the panniers even if I have the 2 in 1 exhaust that is much wider on the side of the bike, without any modifications, just "plug and play"
