First filming..
This is me getting stuck,it's my first ever piece of filming so don't be too harsh!..hahahttps://youtu.be/Vgr5m5p2wZ0 sorry can't figure out this posting video lark!..
|
Now you'll have to clean your bike again going down mucky track !! I copy & pasted the link from the end of haha as I think it's what's upsetting it, just's needs a bit of breathing space. Try hitting 'return' a couple of times before & after a link to give it a bit of room. Your film:-

Good stuff jo75....looks cold, miserable, wet and slippery...perfect riding conditions..!! Thanks for posting.
If I can offer one word of advice. Get the camera off the bike and mount it on your helmet.... It will give the viewer a better perspective of the ride and the front of the bike going in and out of the frame occasionally creates a point of reference and interest... (Advice..not criticism). Looking forward to seeing your next vid. Rgds Seahorse |
hi, thanks for the advice,I didn't take it as a criticism,I have a mount on my helmet , that's my next thing to do!..just feeling my way with the whole camera thing!..
|
Nothing like getting in the nooks and crannies!..
|
:023: Not bad for a first effort at all.
As Seahorse suggests, get the camera on your head. You won't get the weird effects of vibrations, the lens will stay cleaner as well as getting a more "seat of your pants" view. If you're going to tackle that sort of mud regularly, you are going to have to re-think your tyre choice! ;) (I've embedded your video too. Click edit on your OP and you'll see what I've done/how to do it for future reference.) |
Cheers Pete..working on the tyres will proberly go back to Mitas e09 or e10

I wouldn't recommend the Mitas EO9 as a general purpose tyre....
For starters, it is an absolute pig of a thing to break from the bead if you need to do trailside repairs. Strangely enough it is the only rear I have ever punctured (twice) on the Tenere... and mine was the "Dakar" version. Also found it to be diabolical on wet tar and highly unpredictable on loose gravel, never giving any indication as to when it was going to let go.... Have tried several combinations of front and rears, and my current favourite setup is a Pirelli Scorpion Rally on the front and Mitas EO7 (140) on the rear. The only problem with the 140 on the rear are fitting issues...Almost impossible to get it to bead up, as opposed to the 130 which virtually pops on by itself. Will be doing a fair bit of desert/sand riding this year so will be trying a Dunlop 606 on the rear but they are not noted for their longevity so will probably eventually go back to a 130 EO7 Understandably this combination works fine here in Australia, but I also feel confident it would also manage admirably, the slippery trail shown in your video. |

I previously used Mitas e09 on the rear and didn't have any problems with it what's so ever either on black stuff or on the wet mud,I believe it's all down to personal choice in the end, I think the eo7 is a pretty similar tread pattern to the tyre I'm using at the moment which is the gt201 , great for dry summer work and good on the black stuff. The wet chalky mud down here on the South Downs is a pig of a thing when it comes to tyres!..

http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...sat5uzplp.jpeg Gt201 my current tyre ..I like it but obviously not suited to heavy mud but I shall keep them for the summer months, a good 50/50 tyre..
http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...so7floehk.jpeg The eo7 pretty similar tread pattern as the gt201 but I'm not sure I would notice any small differences between the two patterns. I might even try the e10 and just take the on road wear rate!..
