Just hope 2017 on bikes aren't too horrendously strangled by emissions. ...although as in CAT removal there's usually a way to bypass things! Steve

 | All 2017 motorcycles in the UK will require a full emissions test and will not pass the test without a three-way catalyst in place. You could I guess remove the cat until the first MOT is due at 3 years (and most likely void your warranty), or fit a de-cat pipe between tests thereafter?

Hmm, won't these be covered by the new 'no modifications' regulations ?

 | Only on motorcycles making 47hp (35kW) or less. There was an amendment made in 2012 to legislation to appease the motorcycle lobby groups which basically restricted the anti-tamper rules to only restricted/learner bikes (50cc, 125cc, A1 and A2 etc.). Anything over 47hp can be tampered with, but obviously within the constraints of an MOT test in the UK.
