Which element/sensors may cause such problems with engine start?
immobilizer, fuel pump relay?

Any of the switches in the start-inhibit system will cause a non-starter under certain conditions: sidestand, clutch and neutral switches. Starter cut off relay may be at fault itself, which is a combined unit together with the fuel pump relay?

Could be an immobiliser fault I guess? Might explain why doing odd things with the key/starter button works?

AFAIK, the bike should run with the dash disconnected? Have you tried this yet?

I changed the counter from another XT and everything works! No errors :)
My speedometer probably was flooded, It has a micro crack in the housing.
I will try to open it and check inside. D o you have tutorial how to open speedometer?

I Wonder why the motorbikes doesn’t want to start without speedometer. I mean it works when I hold the starter button pressing down and ignition key to ON. Motorcycle should work without counter!
Maybe it is the ECU issue? I have the first version 5VK-8591A-00.
