Will probably fit one to low beam as well.

Thanks for that Madruss. They are cheaper where you are ! After searching the autoshops to find some, all I could find was the set of 2 with the side light bulbs for just shy of $100.
So had a look on ebay & found loads of the same sets for $50 with a free delivery & click 'n' collect from Big W.

I find the high beam terrible on the tenere.

Besides fitting extra lamps i've also considered replacing the standard H7 bulb with something that provides more light - and then hope some of the extra light will hit the road in front of me.

After some reseach i was down to two options and have ordered both but not received them yet.

OSRAM 12V Super Bright - (H7) - 65W - 2100 lumen

http://www.ebay.de/itm/111468852954?...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It is a 30-50% increase from standard H7 55w bulb - but not street legal (two much light) and will put more stress on the wiring since it is 65W enstead of 55W. But is output is similar to many 80W "rally" and the lifespan is 500 hours - the same as a stadard 55W bulb.

LED CREE-XML2 fitted to H7 socket with passive cooling - 20W - 2500 lumen

Fitting an LED is also not street legal and might attract more attention than just a high wattage halogen bulb. If the geometry for the H7 is good it might put more light on the street than a standard bulb. But my second thought was that the lower wattage will make it more suitable with a pair of 10W spots like the visionx. I run with heated grips this time of year and are worried that generator won't be ablet to cope with to much extra. I've looked at LED bulbs for a long time but the first generations needed a fan which is not really suitable on a motorcycle that will say rain and mud.

On my previous motorcycle (750 super tenere) i had 2x35W biXenon that worked relly well since the switch from low to high was with the same bulb. One the tenere it will take a few seconds for the high beam to come on and there is not much room for the ballast. But a 35W provides more than 3000 lumen and 50W xenon over 4000 lumen - so if you are really afraid of the dark go with xenon

I'll follow up when i've tried it
