Let me know when you and Jo want to meet up again. Sunday looks pretty good. Maybe Andy will also feel like a ride.

Hi Jacque, yes, be good to meet up again. Can't this Sunday as I'm going to Brightona ...a huge bike meet on Brighton seafront, is that too far for you. .? Jo's possibly going too. Steve

I may join you guys. On saturday need to drive all the way to Canterbury and back (by car) so depends on how knackered I'll be.

Aha, the infamous rattly instrument cluster screw!
Not just me, then.

I cut a couple of squares out of a camping roll mat to act as squishy washers behind the cluster. Seems to have fixed the issue.

Don't do them up too tight, they're self-tappers into the plastic. Crack!

Jacques le Roux 09-10-15 17:39

Sorry guys can't do Sunday. Enjoy the beach.

Andy would be well keen if he wasn't in Portugal ;) made it here ok. Great 5 day ride across spain and portugal. Raining here now tho dammit. Soon as it stops it's out offloading on the XR :D

Also need to strip the engine when I'm home :/ valve seals are leaking oil for some unknown reason :(

jo75 10-10-15 22:06

Would absolutely love to do a long 5 day ride!..even in the rain!..have fun!..

greatescape 10-10-15 22:43

Hi Andy, glad you had a good ride. ....bummer about the valve seals, hopefully it's an easy fix. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Steve
