Multifunction display not functioning

I'm having fun with my bike at the moment...

Just removed and checked the ignition coil to try to find the cause of some pinking (see the thread here, if you fancy helping out with that problem!: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=24395).

As part of this, I disconnected the battery as I was going to fiddle with electrics. It was disconnected for about 45 minutes.

Put everything back in, but now the multifunction display doesn't work! I've visually checked any electrical connections close to the coil that I might have knocked loose; all seems well. Am I missing something? Do I need to do anything special if I've disconnected the battery to get the display back up and running?

Thanks for your help once again!

Will.
