I use Oponeo for all my tyres. Cheap and reasonably quick shipping, about 5 days (all the way from Poland I believe). 46 delivered for a rear E07.

+1 for Oponeo.
I have also used mytyres.co.uk in the past and they are equally reliable and competitive with pricing. |
I use a "140" wide EO7....Great all round tyre, but an absolute PIG to get on the bead.!!!!
Am thinking of going back to a 130 or possibly trying a Dunlop 606 next. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...t/P4140067.jpg |
spoke to openeo today 96 deliverd to my door.was thinking about a 140 because i have read somewhere that the 130 comes with a wear indecator
center band. cheers for the replys. cheers beany |
Without wishing to be a misery guts, I found the e07s to be the most dangerous tyres I've ever used. I took mine off before they were even half worn.
I was really hoping they'd be good. The e09 Dakars have more grip on tarmac and better off road. |
I'm on my third set..I find excellent grip on the dry and wet.....hence my third set. They also are,IMO,better than K60 Scouts for hardpack,i.e. Morocco, with out suffering tyre rips and tears.Very resilient.
From 2:54 in the link you'll see they work best for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7eo4RuLKbE :) . |
Hey! I put on a pair of E07 tyres two days ago, so far I just broke them in but had a good feeling on tarmac, and that coming for excellent road tyres (Dunlop TR91). Off the road I have no experience yet, but trying to open gas on dirt I was pulling an unexpected wheelie where with TR91s I made the Ten slide wildly :-)
http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps1mxu7x9t.jpg I will use this post as a mileage bookmark too: put on new tyres at 31200km. Will see how much I get from them. |
For those wondering, this is a picture of a 2015 E07 rear tyre in 130/80 version. No center continuous strip.

The EO7's are notorious for developing cracks at the base of the blocks....I have never heard of one actually failing, but something you should be aware of....

The main reason why they fail, is usually on the bigger bikes they are under inflated, overloaded and travelling too fast. Heat kills all. If they are heat cycled properly, they should be fine. |
