This looks like fun. Distinct lack of ladies though :-) and from looking at the pics. I believe I know one of you from way back.

Jacques le Roux 12-05-15 16:38

Sadly true.

CaptMoto 12-05-15 17:55

Glad to see a pic of an MT03 there too

Haha. The lack of ladies or the fact I know one of you?

Hello pinky

Regardless of what anyone might think, we are an "open gender" forum, we've had keen participant ladies in the past that have attended rides and stuff, of course in a lesser number compared to the male knuckleheads but that is not because they are treated differently or made to feel different, there just ain't that many ladies interested in these bikes I guess, we equally welcome any gender, but if they don't join up, we keep carrying on.

Yes Pinky. I have a feeling we may have met before from what you have said etc.
Did you hail from Huddersfield area? Did you have an XBR? Did you come to the Stafford show and camped overnight and leave a deposit of pink 'debris'?
If so Hi from me, .......................if not I do apologise.

Steve.

Hi Steve. Yes that's me. I'll never live that down lol. Hope you're doing OK.

I think ladies are usually more interested in other styles of bikes yes. Hopefully this one can meet up for a few ride outs when I have days off work.

Excellent, WELCOME to the forum. Will be good to meet up some time and have a catch up. You've just missed a great weekend meet but fear not there will be others.
Perhaps a mini-meet in (Wetton) in the Peaks or an end of year meet up at Dent in the Dales.

Stay in touch and comment on threads.

.............oh and pics are a necessity or your bike doesn't exist!:icon_mrgreen:

Cheers Steve

That gravel section was something else, especially the square edged concrete runoffs.

Hi Steve, Wetton (Peaks) sound grand. A lot easier for us 'southern' boys to get to than the Dales. Pretty please.

Hedgehog66 13-05-15 19:56

One question about the Wales trip....who are the Pinker tons. .? Steve

Jacques le Roux 13-05-15 22:34

Harley (mostly) club from Swindon who camped at the same venue as us but in the next field

Pinkertons were the group of bikers with the Bell tents and bunkhouse. A group of 'V' twin enthusiasts (have a look at their web site). Noisy bunch but seemed quite friendly and some magnificent bikes if you like that sort of thing.

Steve

Jacques le Roux 13-05-15 22:37

The one custom Harley had a 2.1 liter engine. They called our XTs scooters because of its 'small' engines. They declined my offer of going up the mountain trails with their harleys

Just to keep the thread running for a bit longer it would be good if a few of us could do a proper report on the meet with a bit more detail. I will be doing in the next couple of days..........................and I have in my posession a pair of TWO finger gloves, left at the site. Who do they belong to?

Hi Steve

Me! But they were about as waterproof as my tent! Please place them where I placed my tent..... in the bin! :023:

Jacques le Roux 14-05-15 19:58

I suppose waterproof tent is on the shopping list
