xtz 660, crank free play
 

Hello friends,
Yesterday I did a valve adjustment (again), after the first time failed.

When I turned the engine (counterclockwise) I noticed a certain free play, a clicking noise.
This is my first bike, and I do not know whether this is normal or not, would love to hear what you think.
What is the reason for that noise? Is this normal?

Looks fine to me, how does it sound when the motor is running?

there is some knocking sound when the motor is running

To put your mind at rest, my 2014 Tenere with 700 miles on clock sounds exactly as yours.

It does make my mind rest a bit :) but still it feels like something is loos something is knocking, mine is 2008 with 60K km'.
i really want to take preventive steps if something is wrong there.
