You might not be able to make use of the spring sunshine for riding, but at it'll make working on your bike outside more comfortable! ;)
How long have you got to wait for the intake joint to arrive - I assume that's what you're waiting for? |
Looks like a good time to do the valves if they need doing.
|
Hi...yep..the carb joint..they said ten days for the part, but it's well over that!!.. Will put a picture up of the old one when I have taken it out..chain and sprockets should be here today.Just going through all the jobs really and I shall be doing the valves!!..and also a complete fluid change as well, should be ready for summer then!..
|
Hey Jo, when you feel that bit of warmth in the sun...think of many good Tenere day's to come!, great incentive to get the bike done! Good luck with it Steve
|
Don't think it will take that long to fit the part,it's just the waiting is the pain!..it's nice to get the little jobs done, popped an aux power socket on today, won't be long and I will be out!..

Take a quick look at your forward wiring loom.
Any places where it might rub against the tank, or the cable ties are too tight, you should wrap with something more sturdy. My tank's coming off on Thursday for valve clearances, and I'll be wrapping bits of the loom in off cuts from an old camping roll mat, just to be sure. |
Thanks WeaveMcquilt..good advice there,i have done the points under the seat where it rubs and slowly working forward checking as i go,never had a problem with my rectifier plug but have cleaned it and made a nifty rubber boot for it just for a bit of extra protection..
