ABS switch?
 

Wonder if anyone has found a smooth way to turn of the ABS?

On/Off switch maybe?

Im new here and tried to search the forum. Found one thread back from 2012 so far.

The ABS Ten was not very popular in the UK and they only sold a handful in the year it was sold, so information is a bit thin I'm afraid. They do seem more popular in Scandinavia though, can you actually even buy the non-ABS version new?

Anyway, I don't have an ABS model, but if I did, I'd probably go down the route of cutting the +12V feed to the ABS pump and fitting a relay to switch the supply to the pump controlled by a bar mounted switch.

There seems to be a lot more discussion regarding disabling the ABS on the 1200. Here's one such method that I see no reason shouldn't work on the 660?

OK, so thats the reason, I thought it was strange to not find anything on this. In sweden the last non-ABS version was sold in 2010 :-(

Thanks for your answer. I will try to study the link. Looks a bit tricky but might be the best/safest solution so far.

I think the guy makes it look more tricky than it actually is! ;)

Cut the pump feed wire, fit the relay's load connections across the two ends, find a suitable ignition switched feed, run it to a switch via a fuse and back to earth through the relay's trigger terminals.

You can choose to either fit a relay that is ON when 12V is a fed to the trigger, or one that is OFF when the trigger is switched. Therefore you can decide whether you want the ABS to be active by default, or disabled by default. Might be useful if something went wrong with the relay circuit if the relay was one that has continuity between the load terminals when there is no power at the trigger?

I think I would go with one that is OFF when the trigger is switched. Better to have one thing working correct when disaster strikes.

One option that doesnt require any wiring or soldering is removing the fuse. Wonder if removing it in and out would harm the ABS system?

To answer my self :-) I suppose not since Its basically the same procedure but instead I use my hand.
