Would you Adam and Eve it - rear bearing goes bang

An hour ago on my way home in heavy traffic and there is a horrible crunch noise. I coasted to a halt and look how I found my sprocket carrier. The bearing has cracked and it has taken the carrier with it. I've just got it home and I need to strip and assess it shortly. Anyone got a spare sprocket carrier.....

Is that a standard bearing or did you upgrade to a wider double row bearing?

I haven't started stripping it yet but I'd say it's the original one.

Might be a good time to upgrade. Wheel bearings are something worth keeping a close eye on. Good luck with your repair. Important fact is you didn't slide down the road.

       Ooh, that's nasty!
Should be able to source a second hand one from one the many Tenere owners who've upgraded to a Talon/Excel rear? Or you could just get yourself a Talon/Excel wheel! ;) |

114 from AJ Sutton - thats just for the carrier and then it needs studs, bearings and fresh cush drive rubbers. Bloody hell, thats just made Friday 13th for me.

Blimey that looks real crap. Second hand carriers are like hens teeth. I know that the 'R' one is the same. I'll keep my eyes peeled.:icon_eek:
