O2 optimiser placement
 
Hey

Just wondering were everyone who has the optimiser fitted were did you put it as I am trying to find a less exposed place to put my own

Cable tied to the long tank retaining bolt that lives behind the 'air scoop' (thats the grey plastic sacrificial part that bolts to the side of the tank).

It's lived up there for two years or so without any issues, and puts a lovely red glow over the engine when it's dark!!

I think you're going to find the mounting options for your XTX are going to be somewhat different from those shown above, which are all XTZ installations. For a start, you haven't got the very handy long tank mounting bolts. ;)

By far the neatest O2 controller mounting on an XTX that I've seen on the forum is Eukol's, which uses a small bracket off one of the cooling fan mounts...

Yep. It stays on permanently to give an indication that the circuit is working.

I cable tied mine (Dynojet, it came with the PCV) to the throttle cables just above the throttle body, under the petrol tank.

Put mine near throttle cables too. It seem to keep wires & connectors away from anything to hot.
