Ok so i've managed to get some research done on this EJK thingy. If you want to look for your self try searching for it as a FMF power controller.

It's made by a company called Dobeck from the states and the deisgner of this product was part of power commander in their early days.

Anyway this unit works by taking the injector signal and adjusting it, it doesn't seem to take any readings from anywhere, it's just takes the signal then adds it's value onto the ECU signal, to richen up the mixture that way.

Would this product help with the surging issues on the XT or would it need something like the PC with the MAP grid system?

This unit has been around for ages, if you want to control the surging you need to remap the closed loop circuit with Dynojet O2 optimizer or one of my O2 controllers, that unit will only control the open loop mapping.

Hi Kev,

I've already tried using your controller and it has calmed things down but it is still noticable and annoying. I'm one of the unlucky ones who has the bad ECU. So i hnk it's now time to play with changing the engine mapping. I was just looking through my options.

I'm currently torn between the PC5 and the PCFC (which seems hard to find, OTR had some briefly)

Mine is a 06 pre O2 model.

I would not waist my money on one, do yourself a favour & buy a Power Commander & get a custom map for your bike this would be the ultimate solution.

Cheers Kev, i thought that would be the case but wanted to be sure to exhaust other avenues before choosing the most expensive.
