AIS interaction with Dynojet dyno tune ?
Hi All,
Techo question from a non techo. Those who have had their bikes on a dynojet dyno, did the tech mention anything about the AIS being blocked or unblocked to perform the tune ?. I had my 2009xtx dyno tuned today on a dynojet dyno and the tech said he needed the AIS unblocked to correctly tune the bike. Thoughts ? Cheers |

He is wrong. The AIS must be blocked, or have the pipe clamped to get the correct results on a dyno. If you leave it connected the dyno's exhaust gas analyser will just collect bad data as there will be too much oxygen (air) in the exhaust gases when the AIS valve is open. The net result is you'd end up building a map with air/fuel ratios all over the place.

ok, thanks for that info.

That is correct AIS must be blocked.
