They are fab on the road. So much grip you will be surprised.
But and it's a big but...the first 250 miles are not nice and feel awful..so take it easy and all will be fine. Mike |
Cheers Mike! Are you running standard pressures on them?

5000 kms on the back and only just scrubed in :headbang: but slicks in the mud :googly[1]:

The major advantage is that you can do almost up to 16000 km with one set of these.

Good on a Ten?
I had a pair on a BMW1200GS Adventure and really liked them right from the off. I just put a pair on my Triumph Scrambler and they are not very nice and seem to tramline a lot. I need to experiment with pressures but so far have run them at the Triumph recommended pressures.
Anyway, this has made me think twice about putting them on the Ten, but if most others have found them to be good then I'll crack on. I liked them a lot on the road on the BMW and for the kind of off road I mostly do (firm, stony 4x4 tracks) they should work fine. I'm not expecting them to be a good mud tyre, but my local riding isn't muddy. I'm watching the thread with interest... |
Hey mb4807
Where are you in France mate ? i'm in Payrac 46350 Phil |
I thought they'd be good on a heavier bike like the GS, I'm sure I remember reading somewhere on here that the person who'd used them ran them at slightly lower than standard pressures and it transformed the feedback. I'll let you know how I get on, gottat be an improvement on the worn out Tourances!

Your not in a bad spot yourself too by the looks of it! |
Well. just in from an 80 mile run with Scouts on, no problem here, stuck to tarmac, after the first 5 miles I was well used to them, going to enjoy these!
Pressures were 30 psi in the front and 32 psi in the rear, felt really good! Dave |
Some advise needed regarding tyres.
I am looking at getting a new set of tyres, K60 Scouts. At Tyreleader they only seem to sell the TT (Tubless) version. Can I use these on my Tenere and use a tube. I currently have tourance tubed tyres. Do K60 scouts come in a tubed version. Apologies for the dumb question, I am confused and want to make sure I get the right tyres. Thanks in advance |

They only make the 130x80x17 k60 scout in a TL (Tubless) which will be ok on a Tenere http://heidenautires.com/dual-sport-tires/ |

Absolutely fine! Will still need the tube like! |
Thanks Gents,
I will get a set, my current set has another month or two in them, with Xmas looming best to get expense out of the way now the later in the year. |

I did notice today the K60 scout has gone up in price from both Oponeo and Tyreleader. I paid 65 delivered for my rear. |
