I found my electric gremlin! Just in time before the rainy season.

I found that I put the ignition coil on up side down, yes I'm an idiot. Up side down the output side of the coil is just touching the metal mounting bracket so when it got wet it was causing it to track because of the close proximity.

That pic is of the coil the right way up, if you look close you can seen where the output side was just touching the bracket.

It's been running like a dream ever sins, I have ridden in some very bad weather so it had been well tested.
