Went for a ride today

Nice weather today and I got all the mods finally fitted last night so thought I would head out to the seaside for the first time on the old girl, shot across to Hunstanton which is about 80ish miles from Northampton, kept the speeds to a comfortable 65-70mph and I've got to say I absolutly loved it, did the same ride on my duke last year and yes I could go faster on it but to be fair halfway home I wanted to get off the duke and kick it in a ditch! Can't ride sports bikes anymore, adventure all the way now, plus as a bonus on the way home I had to get away from a set of lights sharpish due to being in the wrong lane....and I thought it was going to flip! It was never like that before all the kev mads were done, and the noise is lovely as well, overtaking cars as well on B roads was a blast of twisting throttle grunt

Happy bunny!

Trouble is now I have to wheelie away from every set of l lights :)

:sunny: Glad you're happy mate - Those simple (and cheap) mods make such a pronounced difference to the XT its hard to believe hoe anyone rides them in stock trim!

If you're ever (or anyone else for that matter) planning on spinning over to Hunny another day, drop me a PM. Be good to have some sort of XT meet up now and again round this neck of the woods...

Will do mate, my mum and dad live in Lowestoft so I think that's my next adventure! 130miles each way though...

I've got no idea where that is, but I'm up for a blat.

Not far from you, Steve. I'm in bucks.
So, ride to Northampton and then a ride to Norfolk. Sounds good!

Well I'm in norwich, would be good to say hi, gimme a shout or maybe sort a date for a east meet, 130 miles each way, you might need a couple of fuel stops, I just about manage norwich to Newmarket on a tank if I brim it before I leave its about 110-120, just get my fuel light on as I get about 5 miles from norwich

A meet at sunny hunny would be good for me as only in Cambridge , just got back from 700 miles around Devon and Cornwall on the teneres first trip out, sorry no photos , bit of a technophobe ( my box brownie won't let me upload photos!) must try harder. Any dates in mind for the meet?
