Hello from Aberdeenshire

Hi all,

Thought it was about time I introduced myself properly on here.

I have owned my XT660Z in white from new since March 09 and have been a member here since.
Although I have not really contributed to this fine site I have gained a wealth of knowledge and found it invaluable over the years.

My bike has just turned 9,000 miles and I have added few bits over the years and still don't have it the way I want it.

So far it's had

Cush drive mod
Touratech hand guards
Touratech large rear rack
Touratech large sump guard with tool box
Cheap eBay large foot pegs
Cheap eBay leavers
High front mudguard
Xtr lower front mud guard
Oxford heated grips
Switched relay wired for auxiliary power socket
Scotoiler V System
Gel insert in seat with new leather cover
Touratech pannier frames
ARD Cases
Repair to Reg/Rec plug contacts cleaned, greased and sealed
DID Extreme Upgrade Chain and Sprocket kit.

Things I would like to do in the future include, new exhaust, Kev's fuel mod along with filter and sort the suspension out front and rear.

I hope to be a bit more active on the forum this year and hopefully get to attend the Lakeland meet to put a face to some of the names.

Not sure if there are any XT660's local to me in Aberdeenshire but if there is it would be good to catch up for a ride out or a chat.

Cheers Scott. :-)

Welcome aboard from another Scot. Nice looking XTZ with some useful mods! Knowing the weather in Aberdeenshire, I'll bet the heated grips were, if not the first, certainly an early addition.:HeyHey_GOO2MN:

Hi and welcome to the forum

I live in Edinburgh so not a million miles away from you. haven't been out on the bike as much as I'd like to recently but I've been up to Pitlochry, avimore, duff town to name a few, but haven't ventured into Aberdeen just yet. give me a shout if your heading down this way or about your plans for heading down to the lakes.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I will try and get to the Lakeland's Meet once I confirm work commitments and post up to see if anyone else is traveling down. Cheers for now Scott :)
