More ARDcases
I've just fitted a set of ARDcases luggage to my Tenere.
They seem really good quality 2mm thick and powder coated inside and out. The inner plate is a nice piece and the knurled knobs dont intrude too much inside. They all have little rubber feet. Some of the threads, especially on the pucks, are a bit too long and stick out 2- 3 mm proud of the nuts. Ill trim them at a later date. The topbox is a bit too big but seems to mount securely although he only included 2 spacers (I packed out the small rear bolts with washers). Theyre a very tight fit on the racks but will probably become easier with use failing that Ill file a slight slope on the pucks to make things slip into place. On the bike and on my dining room floor they look pretty smart. How long will they stay that way is another question! Very impressed - 899 for Touratech frames, boxes, top box and mounting plates, picnic table and delivery. I was considering hardcases also, but they look big on the Tenere, so I went
for soft luggage this time round http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/...ps14dbf6dd.jpg |
I have Ardcases on my DL650 , can't go wrong for what they cost ..
